Here in Chicago public schools open next monday, the 8th. My son's privatre school opens this Thursday, the 4th.

It depends upon your school. Mine isn't because we don't go back until the 4th. If you are supposed to go back tomorrow, I'd be prepared to unless there is an announcement on your local TV or radio station.
