The fact that you're asking this question shows that you have a desire to try public nudity. Many people are too afraid to even get this far..
I have to agree with nudie chick and say try going to a clothing optional beach. Most nudists will be sensitive to the fact that you're new to nude recreation and will accept you even if you choose not to get naked right away. After hardly any time there you'll understand if "nude" is right for you and you'll either take everything off and have fun or you'll leave for home. No one there will judge you either way.
Just remember, if you try public nudism and find that it isn't right for you, that's fine. Most people are afraid to try going nude in the first place, but you are willing to embrace you fears and give it a shot and that's what counts. Kudos to you.

I'm being totally serious. The best way is to spend some time at a nude beach or similar location where people get naked and it's no big deal. Once you're out of your clothes for a few minutes you'll actually forget that you're naked...I know that's hard to believe, but it's true!
Remember that simple nudity isn't always linked to sexuality, so there's really no reason to feel that you're doing somewthing sexually offensive by just being naked.
Nudity is nothing more than bare skin, and since we all have it, it's really no big deal...or shouldn't be!
Good luck.

When I was younger I had a simular problem. Here is what I did, first I continued to be naked at the gym, even though it embarassed me. Second, I started at home speading as much time as I could do it nude. Third, I went to a nude beach with my bf and just went for it. After a couple of hours there I relaxed some. It was not easy, but like all fears you gotta face them.

First and foremost, u have to be satisfied with ur own body before being comfortable with what other think of it. U have to wear that body for that rest of ur life so u should be comfortable with it. Secondly, u have to take those compliments as reassurance of what u already know. That will ultimately build ur confidence. And if all else fails go to a nude beach and ask people for their opinions.

Not a clue! Not sure why you should even worry about it unless your boyfriend has booked you a vacation to a nudist colony.
Try taking nude digital pictures and posting them to a site like www.newbienudes.com. Once you see all the positive posts maybe you will feel more comfortable in the locker room.

Are you really interested in going nude in front of people and if so why do you want to do so? If you ask this question to yourself and honestly come up with the answer that you want to, then you can consider the following.
First see yourself in the nude as often and as long as possible, imagining that the person in the mirror is someone other than yourself, and analyse how you feel about your own nudity. If you feel that certain things in your nude body need to be corrected, see if you can correct them. Spend more time in locker rooms of your own sex where you can see the nude bodies of others. Dont however get fixated with nudism at any time. Try to view the human body as a gift of nature, something to be admired and feel proud about, and not as an object of sex. Learn to love your body.
If possible, gradually reduce the extent of body cover you wear at home, so that you get used to people at home seeing you in the nude in course of time.Start with wearing revealing/transparent clothes. If people at home dont mind it, you can be fully nude at home too. Try sleeping in the nude.
When you visit friends of your own sex whom you trust and who share your thoughts on being nude, get nude in their rooms, first when they are clothed, then see them nude when you are clothed, and finally all of you be in the nude. Be careful if there are any friends of the opposite sex as someone may try to take advantage of your nude state and click pictures of you in the buff which they might use against you later.
Visit a clothes optional nudist beach, wear minimum clothing at first and get to see others' nude bodies. You will then feel not ashamed of your own nude body as you say you have a great body. Shed your clothes there (to start with in a location where there are a few -not many -other nudists) so that you get used to others in the nudist beach viewing you in the nude. Graduate to a totally nude beach or resort thereafter so that you feel totally at home with the people there all of whom would be totally nude like you. Always take care that you arent photographed without your consent.
You can also chat with other members of nudist chat rooms, view pictures of other nude people of both sexes (not porn sites) just to get more accustomed to the state of nature.
A phobia can be got over by training ones thoughts to get over it, and I think a step by step approach would be useful.
