Initial cold boot I will have only 113 MB and if I reboot again I will have 880 MB free. What exactly is going on?

This change occurs with every other boot/restart of the computer.

It looks like Pagefile. I found a link here that helped me out.

Computers have a setting called System Restore. It keeps a restore of you computer up to 3 months. Now it may have used 700MB of your hard to keep a restore from 3 months ago, now that the date has expired, the restore will delete and will show up as free space on your harddrive.

Hi

Ok , first i need to know , does this happen ONLY ONCE , i mean the change of space or it changes the number EVERYTIME you boot. Anyway , try using PARTITION MAGIC 8 , and back up your partitions , then rize the partition to whatever you want

It could be your pagefile adjusting. System Restore does not use a lot of space.
