I have had my period for about 5 years. The past few months I have been passing blood clots the size of a quarter, with horrible cramps and when my period is over, I still have sharp needle like pain inside me, it feels like my cervix. I also have pain in my lower back, like around my kindeys. I know i'm not pregnant and I know I don't have any STD's(I get yearly checkups in march).

For some women period is worse than for others but if you think that your pain is not the usual one, you probably should go and see your doctor. It doesn't mean that something is wrong with you, but he or she can probably check that out and make sure everything is fine, and maybe recommend something for your pain. Don't freak out, but don't forget about it.
