I am having an important meeting with some higher ups, but I would like to make my points across loud and clear. Are there any tactics of intimidation that will get them to back off?

When dealing with people of authority over you, using intimidation tactics can backfire. Instead, make a list of points that you want to get across clearly. Practice your talk in front of a mirror, dress professionally, have charts and/or handouts ready and go in with an air of confidence.

People over you are rarely intimidated by people lower than them on the corporate ladder. If this is about a breach in corporate ethics or if you feel that you have been treated unfairly, state your case, don't give an ultimatum (unless you plan on quitting) and ask for solutions or a time frame that a solution can be achieved.

Intimidation isn't a tactic I'd recommend when meeting with your upline or other management team members. Instead use the approach of delivering of the problems or what is perceived as problems and offer out different solutions. A management team will not be impressed by intimidation....besides, if you're not management, then they will not respect you trying to intimidate them. It's could also create tension for you and make it so you loose respect and credibility within the management team. Try a solutions base approach and show them your flexibility. They are more apt to listen then.

Intimidation? What is this meeting about? Wouldn't it be better to get them on your side or to see your point of view rather than start a pissin' contest?

If you are secure in your self, intimidation doesn't work.
