That would be a nightmare. We would always be in his shadow. We'd be "so and so's band".
It would be pretty cool to be in Carlos Santana's shadow. I'm sure he has a lot of stories to tell and he's still a damn good guitar player. Or Jimmy Page. Go with the legends.
