They both do. They are both polymers of glucose, with the C-1 of glucose plugged into the C-4 of the next glucose. The only difference is that the configuration of each C-1 is *alpha* in starch and *beta* in cellulose. Only starch is nutritious to animals, because only animals can digest the *alpha* bond. Termites and cows can digest cellulose, because they have commensal bacteria, which do that.
