I was wondering....cause i've been begging to find a wii somewhere and today is Jan 1 07....Wii Seeker lied cause target or wal-mart didn't get any shipments ...and now i'm hearing rumors of tuesday....wednesday and Thursday though i don't know which to believe....i'm having a hard time finding a wii so if anyone can clarifiy this for me....i could get me a wii and be very thankful of that person.

I would try to get it online. you have a better chance of it online than in a store but i think the whole noon idea is a good one. I chose to get the wii online because i didn't have the time or patience to go to stores and pester them or camp out. i got mine from http://www.doiop.com/wiii

I got mine at EBGames on January 3. My strategy was just to set my alarm clock, and be at each store as soon as they opened up. ;-) Seriously, if you are at EBGames between 10:00(when that store opens in my area), and 10:30 am - they are unpacking the shipments that they just received. I walked in at 10:10 and asked if they had any Wii's, and the guy at the counter said "Not yet", but a guy in the back yelled out "Yeah, I'm just unpacking them now!" :-D So sometimes you just have to go for two or three days in a row, until you just happen to be there when they got a shipment, and are unpacking them.
Wal*Mart is another good place to be at 8 am. If you go to their electronics section at 8am(when they open), they have all the skids there from the night before, and are usually busy unpacking the boxes, and putting the new stock out.
I've also heard a rumour, but have not verified the truth of it, that Best Buy(in Canada) puts their Wii's out on Fridays. So even if they get 2 on Sunday, and 3 on Wednesday, they won't put them out. But on Friday, there would be 5 for sale.

I got mine yesterday at Toys R Us around noon. If you really want one you can try going to Toys R Us and Target around noon also... that's when they get the shipments.
