I have a long time female friend. We both consider each other attractive, but she says she's not wanting to get romantically involved. But I think given the right situation, she would let her guard down and let me take the friendship to the next level. I think she's more afraid of complicating our friendship than anything. I am really falling for her and am willing to take the chance. We have talked about our feelings so I don't want to push the issue further. So anyone else in or been in the same situation, and how did you handle it?

I have to say that I'm still in love with a good friend of mine. He has no idea. I'm married and I have 3 kids. You can be in love with someone for a long time....

i had a best friend [a boy and i'm a girl]... we were ok, and we finally went to the next level and became bf and gf. i started feeling less attracted to him but he was in love with me [he always was in love with me but didn't make the first move and we know each other for 6 years and this summer i made the move]. i finally broke up with him and wanted us to be just friends again. he is so sad right now, and says he can't stand seeing me with other guys... he is pushing me away and i regret being romanticlly involved... we can;t be just friends again and i lost his friendship... i lost everything about him... don't do the same mistake as i did :(

Talk about it and if she dosen't want to talk and it seems she really dosen't want to say whats on her mind about the situation then push it I would but do it in a subtley manner.

Be patient. If it is meant to be, it will happen. If not, quess what?
It was "not" meant to be! But you will have a friend forever. By the way, your wife WILL BE your best friend.

You will lose the friend if it doesn't work out. Maybe she doesn't want to lose that. Sometimes your best friends just remain that.
