I know how to make a three-string braid but I have always wanted to know how to do it with four. Anyone willing to share? Thanks!

We do this with (5) ropes of polymer clay too, so that's how I learned.

(or here are my instructions for doing it with clay... just ignore the anchoring to the work surface part, but you will want to hold them together somehow):
...Using five strands, anchor them at one end by pressing onto a work surface, then braid together (it's the same process as regular braiding with 3 strands, but braid each strand over TWO strands rather than one.)
