HAPPY NEW YEAR!! i don't know whether i should wear make up or shouldn't?My friend doesn't wear makeup and when she is asked why she says she does not want to hide her face. She says makeup hides the person's original face. But the stunning changes make up makes just fasicinates me. Film actors look so much different with and without makeup. Many times I've heard my friends speak about actors and they say every single actor is ugly without makeup. I've had people saying that they saw some stars in real life without makeup and it made my friends puke (exageration).Often applicating of makeup brings kind of a downside to them (according to friends and public comments). But then I have people saying there is nothing wrong in covering flaws and marks on face that make you ugly. I've had people saying why would you hate your face and wear make up to make it better. One time I couln't recognize a family friend of mine because I always saw her with makeup and that one time she didnt wear make up.

Anyone CAN wear makeup, but not everyone should.

Your friend is right. Wearing makeup hides your true beauty and will eventually make you age as it often dries out youyr skin bringing about premature wrinkling.

I am a 45 yo Black female who seldom wears any (one or two times a year for special occassions)...most say I look like I am in my late 20's early 30's.

If you must wear any, wear as little as possible and use it to highlight your features not to mask your identity.

REMEMBER: Natural is always best.

Happy 2007!

That would be a personal choice. If you want to know what you'd look like with makeup go to Merle Norman or some of the better department stores and ask for a make over. They will show you how to put it on and show you the best colors for your skin and hair. There are no ugly people, just ugly minds. Everyone has something that makes them beautiful, whether it is pretty eyes, pretty hair or clear skin. I've worn makeup ever sense I was 13 years old and always felt more confident when I had it on.

That thing about actors and celecrities is so true. They cake on makeup everywhere to make themeselves look completely flawless because that is their job. It all depends on how you want people to look at you. If you want to have a natural look, a little bit of powder, mascara and clear gloss will be ok and you wont look like a completely different person. If you want a more dramatic look, you should maybe add a little eyeliner and eyeshadow. And its not that you hate your face, you just want to have a mroe fresh faced look and there is nothing wrong with that. It all depends if you want to listen to your friends or do your own thing. Makeup is the fun part of being a girl and i dont see why putting on a little gloss could be bad.

You shouldn't feel bad just for wearing a little makeup. It's perfectly fine as long as you don't go overboard. Don't go all out with eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation, etc. Wear things that compliment you, not cover you. I like to wear mascara and a light colored eyeliner to compliment the color of my eyes. Besides that and lip gloss, I don't wear any other makeup. Foundation made my face look fake and it was obvious I was wearing it. you've probably heard the best way to apply makeup is so that nobody can tell your wearing much at all. It's true. I also think eyeshadow often is too much and not really natural looking.

Wearing make-up is fine. There's nothing wrong with enhancing your already beautiful features and detracting from your not so pretty features. Keep it as close to natural as possible or if you're going to a night event and you want a little drama you can use a little more color for a more damatic effect. But be sure and don't go for the Tammy Faye Baker Messner look. Although she's a lovely lady, her make-up techniques leave a lot to be desired. Happy New Year.

Well ,i think u need to make a choice urself. Never wear anything that u r uncomfortable to carry with(even clothes). If wearing makeup boosts ur confidence definitely go for it.For everyday purpose just Eyepencil, lipstick and eyeliner work wonders.Stick with the basic unless ur going for a party or something. If u wear heavy makeup all the time u wudn't look any different for the special occassions.

Don't use make-up becuase believe it or not you may think that it's making you look prettier but it's not. Make-up ruins your face. Do you see all those stars on TV or actors, actresses, or even singers. They all use make-up affcourse everyone thinks they're beautiful but what you really see is the wonders of make-up. You don't know how Beyonce really looks. You don't know how Cassie and Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige really look. That's because they hide their natural faces from the world because they're afraid to be who they really are! Maybe a little mascara and eyelineer and lip stick won't hurt

there is nothing wrong with wearing makeup. some people don't like it and some think they can't live without it. i wear makeup, but not 24/7 like some of my friends do. i wear makeup to school, not the movie theatre, the fair, and sometimes outta town. most boys don't like makeup----at least not a TON of it. i don't think i'm ugly or anything---i just think that eyeshadow makes my eyes pop(i have hazel eyes). i would recommend bonne bell, bon bons, l'oreal(paris), and my fave, maybeline(new york). if you don't know the certain kinds of makeup there are if foundation(it doesn't look so good if you have freckles), base(which is used for a shiny forehead or nose), lip gloss, lipstick, blush(ONLY on cheekbones, mascara(some don't like this) and eyeliner. i'm pretty sure that there are many other kinds, but i think i just named the basics. goodluck!(P.S. lots os makeup is very expensive. but if you get the cheapy kind, it feels different than good makeup.

Make up makes lady more beautiful. Simply apply some good red shade of lipstick and look in the mirror. You will notice the difference before and after. Go ahead wear makeup and steal the hearts of boys around you.

Frankly, that is your own personal decision, unless your parents think otherwise! I do suggest that if you can wear make-up, to keep it very natural. Make-up should never take away from you. How do you know if you're wearing too much? If someone says, "I love your make-up!"

The worst sin is those people who don't know how to apply it and end up looking like clowns. So, ask a department store make-up artist to guide you in the process. Remember, less is more!
