-(3x - 5) - -4x = 32

Distribute the - on the left (it's the same as multiplying by -1):

-3x + 5 - -4x = 32

And then subtracting -4x is the same as adding 4x:

-3x + 5 + 4x = 32

Combine and simplify:

x + 5 = 32
x + 5 - 5 = 32 - 5
x = 27

And now, checking:

-(3(27) - 5) - =4(27) = 32
-(81 - 5) + 4(27) = 32
-(76) + 108 = 32
108 - 76 = 32
32 = 32
