You are very fortunate and it sounds like a bit spoiled. Do you have any idea of the price of the first couple cars you mentioned? I would suggest you sit down with dad and discuss what you really should spend. Determine how much the insurance is going to cost. A "young" hot convertible will be very expensive to insure. I have always been of the philosophy that you appreciate things more when you have to work for them. I hope your dad gives you some responsibilities which you must meet in order to keep the car. You might consider a used Honda or Toyota for the first year so you can learn how to drive well and learn the responsibilities of car ownership. I know you don't expect to wreck your first car but statistics show that 16 year old drives have many accidents. Good luck. Try using a spell checker it will help us understand your questions.

I agree with your dad.
I would avoid Pontiac. They are much less reliable than Toyota or Honda and they lose value like crazy and will be worthless in 4 years.
You want something that is youthful rather than mature.
I suggest looking at the Toyota Matrix, the Volkswagen New Beetle (comes in a convertible version) and the Honda Civic Si coupe.
I would take a look at those and see what you think.
Steer clear of American cars. Listen to your dad.

You are fortunate at your age to be getting anything. I hope you can appreciate what you have and how blessed you are not to be living in Afghanistan. It doesn't mater what nationality you are it only matter that you are respectful and appreciative that you have anything. You are better off then most. Be grateful for whatever yo drive. Just don't buy a Kia they are crap.
Something safe reliable and good on fuel:
Subaru Impreza
Toyota Corolla
Honda Civic coupe
Pontiac G6

I think that you should be happy with the car that you get, not ask for cars that are so expensive, because with the lack of experience you have driving it will probably get dented up anyway. I'm sure when the time comes you will get choices between cars.

Don't let your infant head worry about cars, just do your homework and use your legs or a pushbike!!

exactly what the other person just said, something you can afford. Something that insurance isn't too steep and gas milage is pretty reasonable.
