We'll have videogame consoles that send messages to our brains, making us smell things ingame. (We actually have that technology now, we just haven't perfected it) We'll also be able to play with our minds. (We can do that to at the moment as well... saw a special about disabled people who had a chip put into their brain and can move a cursor on a special computer by thinking it.)

I think the video games will be very realistic, because it will actually warp you to a virtual world where you can go anywhere and do anything. Plus, it's got online play, so you can talk to people that are also playing. It would be like warping to a more exciting version of real life. You know, one that has lots of monsters to kill and many weapons to kill them with? Oh, yeah, and if you die in the game, you just get warped back to the main starting point. Plus, whenever you log out of the game, your game system gets up and follows you around like a dog... then they'll probably come up with a new and improved version of that where you can carry a little pocket device around with you and also use it to warp to the virtual world.

I think it is going to peak out and collapse. When millions of individuals do nothing but play video games all day long they will cease to be able to support themselves financially and eventually end up broke, starving and on welfare. This is a fad that is going to put tens of millions of individuals in public housing and homeless shelters, and the impact of all that will eventually destroy the video game market and create a whole generation of helpless people unable to support themselves.

Sony dies in 2007 and Microsoft and Nintendo battle it out with an unknown third party.
Sony will become another Sega and make games for other systems.

There will be people practically living inside ultra-realistic virtual gaming worlds. Some people will not even realize that they are not in the real world anymore.
