I had a 98 blazer.... it got really bad gas mileage, but these 2 things will help with fuel mileage.
1. Get a cold air intake.... this will let your engine suck in more air.
2. Get a better flowing muffler... Flowmaster.. Magnaflow.
The better an engine breathes, more effecient it will be, on power and fuel, also do a good tuneup, use platinum plugs, keep your tires inflated to like 5 pounds under the max..... all this to try to squeeze out a few more mpg..... I got mine from 9mpg to 15 mpg on the highway..... not the best, but better than when I bought it.

The absolute best and cheapest way to improve horses without affecting gas mileage too much is to install an improved air intake/filtering system and to buy, program, and download an aftermarket software package/controller for your particular Blazer. These programs are very easy to install and can be switched back and forth as you like. They can be programmed to suit a lot of different individual characteristics as well. I also think the cost for these has been coming down the last couple of years. Good luck.

You nearest salvage yard, eBay, some other website, Craigslist (maybe a wanted ad on CL). If you're talking about the ones for the leather interior that has leather on the panel; those are a ***** and a half to find, trust me!
