nope sorry, you could tho share your internet connection with a crossover cable. you can get these at any major retail store.

Yes. Either use the Internet Connection Wizard with a crossover cable between the two computers.
The other way would be a dialup router. This is very expensive. $200+ for the router and $50+ for each external modem. If you are luck you can find an older broadband router that has a serial port which allows the router to fall back to dialup id the ADSL or cable HSI (High Speed Internet) goes down. Just use it as a dialup router.

No. You need 2 separate phone lines for dial up Internet connection for each computer or you can network the 2 computers and use the same dial up connection. Mind you sharing a dial up connection would be woefully slow!
I suggest you invest in ADSL technology as it's never been cheaper. It uses the same phone line as a dial up connection and you can use the phone and the Internet connection at the same time. Plus the modem doubles as a network interface making connection between computers and the Internet a breeze.
Plus you could use the old modem as a fax machine with some suitable software. Good luck!

Yes and no. You can set up a network and configure one computer to share the connection. You can't have both modems connected to the internet via the phone line at the same time.

...or can you?

Strangely enough, I managed to do it with AOL by accident a few times. It worked for a little while, then one of them disconnected. I was signed on with one, then tried to sign on with the other. They each were connected at half speed, but it did work. It's like having two conversations on the same phone line at the same time. You can do it, but there will be a lot of interference (the other person's conversation).

So, in summation, maybe, but don't count on it. Unless you set up a home network.

I don't think one phone line could handle it. Please remember
most phone lines in the U.S. are very old and we're pretty
lucky they dial-up at all.
