refresh my math skills?

Question

I need to remember my math from high school. I haven't used them much since high school(five years). Algebra, algebra 2, geometry, calculus, trigonometry. Any tips or free website, etc...

My advice is get a good general algebra book. That will help to refresh a lot of your dormant skills, because algebra employs just about anything you learned in math before it. Then practice those skills from problems in the book. You can also do searches on the Web for specific topics you might be interested in. And, of course, you can always come here to Yahoo! Answers to see how people solve problems posed in this forum.

Until recently, I worked at a rather boring job where I might be left alone for an hour or so at a time with essentially nothing to do. To fill the time, I would frequently pose math problems to myself and then proceed to solve them on a notepad I always carried with me. This of course forced me to recall old skills that had been dormant a few years. By doing this, I found that I remembered much more of the calculus that I had learned than I had ever imagined. You could do something similar yourself. Only it doesn't have to be on the job. You could also do it at home, whenever you have free time.

Go to a book store that sells school books and buy a good elementary book on this type of math

google search any problems you face in Math. There are many sites available such as Algebra in which you can self teach yourself.
