My passion is dance and theatre, and oh how i love to sing...but i do it because I HAVE TO DO IT! Without it in my life i would be empty its my calling, what i HAVE to do in life. But in no way am i worried about getting famous, if i so happen to get famous along the way then so be it...but you cant be in this business for the fame. Yes there are people who reach fame overnight but the majority of the time it is because their looks and not their talent. Singers now a days are focused on their look and not their talent, they perform great on the radio because of the ability to make them sound better in the studio, but here them live and they are horrible. That is why the majority lip sync. If you truly love the arts if you truly want this profession, do it for the passion of it, do it for yourself and not to get famous, because it'll never happen this way. Its a very tough bunsiness and the majority of the people who do it for the passion and not for the fame dont make it. If this is what you really want, take acting classes, all actors have taken acting classes, and even if youre the best you can always perfect it, and singers just as well take singing classes. Take dance classes as well because some auditions require you to dance, and some directors require the actors to be in good shape and use some hardcore prodedures during rehearsals. Like all professions, do it because you have to, because without it you are nothing. Good luck and i hope this helped.

There is one website i can recommend to you that has a listing of auditions you can find.... www.exploretalent.com. Ive landed a few modeling jobs with this site

acting and performing aren't about fame! Its about the art... acting, singing, dancing.... they are forms of art. Many people work hard to develop these talents everyday, they work hard..... Most of them probably don't even care whether they become famous or not. People do it because they enjoy it and have a love for it.

Now if you really want to take it seriously.... Start out by taking acting classes and vocal lessons. Sign up for a local theatre troupe to get started. build experience for yourself, take it one step at a time.... please realize you probably won't get leads in plays or musicals for a while unless you really have the talent. Becoming an actor is a slow process. It just doesn't happen overnight.

Search the web for talent agents and managers. But be careful, because there are several fake agents and managers on the web looking for money. One good talent agent company is John Robert Powers. Unfortunatly you have to be invited to that. But you can also call. They have a website: johnrobertpowers.net. You also have to make sure you have the talent to become an actor or actress. But you dont need anybody to tell you if you do or dont, you just need to be yourself. I want to become an actress too, but i dont think thats exactly in the cards for me. By the way, i love the Clique book Invasion of the Boy Snatchers. Good Book.

If you want to act, do it because you are passionate about acting, not because you want to be famous. A website geared to wannabe actors is not to make you famous, if anything, they will take a lot of money from you and give you nothing in return.

Do NOT open the phone book to look for an agent. Legitimate Agents do not advertise in the phone book.

Take acing lessons for a few years and go on auditions.
If you want to be famous, marry a celebrity.

I also want the same thing. The first thing you should do is open up the phonebook and find a agent, don't go with just any company, make appointments with ALL companies! Do Not,i mean DO NOT pay ANY money to any of these people. When you enter show biz, you're supposed to do the work for your agents, after the first job or two, then, that money for make-up,videos,ect. starts to come out of you pay check.you can try some online sites, but they're usually crap.you gotta try to dig in every nook and cranny to find the good sites.usually if you get a acting,or singing coach, they usually have all the info on auditions.

Good Luck!!!

With no real offense to you at all, I offer this. In ragard to the subject.

It might help to have talent and ability, but very truthfully, many who do, aren't "famous." The opposite side of that, sadly, is that many who happen to be "famous" have no talent or ability either.

You can take classes and/or try to find a small part and work your way to the top; you're more likely to become a celebrity if you have experience.

you could start a band and play in clubs. You could become a stand up comic and do the clubs. You could become a model. You could to all three. Plan on working harder than the rest of them.
