my bettas breed a male vieltale and a female crowntail what will they look like will they look like a vieltale with spikes like a crown tail

I've only done a few spawns where the pair had different finnage but from I've seen you'll get a grab bag of VT and CT instead of VT/CT variations. Some will look like the male (VT) and others will inherit the fins from the female (CT).

As for coloration of your betta, unless the breeder you purchased from can name the line they're produced from by (at least) two generations you may get a surprise. Sometimes color/fin variations haven't been completely bred out of the line of betta they are working with. I've had red fry produced from a supposedly 'pure' HM cobalt line.

There will be about 50% crowntail and 50% veiltail.

something like that but you can't tell because the crountail gene maybe resesive and the vietail gene migth be domonint. or the other way around
