If you go to accessories there should be something there that says "System Restore" - there u can restore it to an earlier point like months ago or earlier.
However, to restore it like when u first bought it ...when your computer it starting up it usually offers a F10 option (that' what I get, u should check what options u have as your comp is staring up) and I press that...from there I can do a complete system recovery like what u want.
For addition help you could have a live chat with someone on hp.com they are so helpful and it's FREE!!
Hope this helps.....good luck!

1) Check the make and model on the makers website for instructions on restoration of your computer.
2) read the manuals or download them from the makers website for instructions on how to restore your system to initial settings.
Some computers may not have come with a restoration CD, depends on the manufacturer.
You could also try System Restore if you are running XP, but you it is best to run a factory restore CD.
Post more information on the make and model, then we can help you step by step.
good luck!

If youve got a new dell you might have image restore if so, hit Ctrl f11 when you see the dell logo when you turn the computer on. If not then you would have to reinstall windows from the cd.

If it came with recovery CDs, you can use them to restore the hard disk to its original image. Or you could reinstall windows.
