Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it...

unless you have the money to wear designer fashions that she could never possibly afford...

but that sucks some of the creativity out of it.

So - here's what you do... go to little fashion shops that sell original one of a kind clothing.... and then compliment those clothes with some second hand items from GoodWill or the Salvation Army... you could put together some really cute stuff that she would struggle to replicate... she may never find a shirt just like yours...

You could make your own clothes too... find a shirt you like and Dye it with RIT dye... shred and patch up your jeans in different places... etc...

Haha oh my god yes. Ok so I had this friend who was super obsessed with me.

She copied everything I did. And I mean everything I would get my hair done at the salon and a few days later she would have the same thing only a cheap knock off imitation of what I had done. Same thing with clothes only all of hers were cheap imitations, same with purses, jewelery etc etc.

It was funny. I eventually cut her off cause she was kind of annoying she had no originality. I think that was the case, not a single white female.

Remember imitation is the highest form of flattery. Enjoy it!

Yes. I went over to her house before and she wasn't home, so her mom let me hang out in her room. I was doing a little snooping and I opened her closet. She has a big walk-in closet. She had everything about me in there laying on the floor. Old test papers, notes, pictures, old clothes of mine, a spoon I had eaten off of, and even a glass I had drank out of. I found a lot my jewelry that went missing around my house, and even a lock of my hair was seen. Oh man, it was so sick. I looked in her desk drawer and I saw that she had written down everything I was going to do that week. She was totally obsessed about me. It was so sick.

I had this happen to me way back in high school. My best friend at the time wore things I wore, did things that I did and everyone would call her my clone.

Fast forward years later, she ended up coming out of the closet and told me she had a crush on me in high school. Talk about an awkward moment.

My daughter had this problem and it freaks her out, so she tells her friend she is wearing one thing but wears something totally different. The reason for this i think is that the friend actually looks to you as a icon and wants to be just like you, i know its a pain and quite embarassing for you but feel honoured that you have good fashion sense and someone that wants to be just like you.

Not really want I wear, but I have a friend that copies everything I say! That is annoying too! My boyfriend and I are always making up silly words, and if we use them around her, she'll claim them! I hate that.

Copying is the highest form of flattery... either your friend admires you and wants to fit in with you, or they are obsessivly jealous of the attention you get and want to steal your thunder. I think usually its just the case that they want to fit in, but it sounds like your friend is much more active in this, so it may be the latter case.

I think your friend must really look up to you. If it bothers you that she copies you all the time, maybe you should help her find her own style, you know like say "I'm going wear this, but if I had your hair, I probably try this color instead.." or whatever!
