What really matters in today's world? If you have a pretty face, do you really need an education nowadays? Does intelligence really get you that far in life? What really matters, I want your honest opinions?!

If your ultimate goal in life is to be the most beautiful person in the world...then you only need beauty for it.
If you want to be rich or famous or accomplish something meaningful for others, you're ALWAYS going to need at least a bit of intelligence to maneuver your way through institutions, the system, people, etc....
A beautiful, but dumb person will only get exploited.
Intelligence DEFINITELY gets you far in life.
Perhaps you need to broaden your understanding of the concept of intelligence.
You seem to relate intelligence to holding a university degree...You should remember that there are different types of intelligence, besides the one that is guaranteed to get you through college.
For example: the ability to manipulate people and emotional intelligence.... both can get you ahead in life.
Also, you should remember that the competition in the business of selling beauty is VERY TOUGH, and also, that there aren't enough gay millionaires to make all breathtakingly handsome men rich....
It's my opinion, that there's a better chance of being successful by exploiting a physical or mental ability than one's looks.
Are there completely stupid, but handsome men with large amounts of wealth?
YES! But, how often does that happen?

Intelligence. Beauty fades, and if you don't have a life of the mind to fall back on, you will end up very miserable and desperate. Beauty is important in an aestectic sense, like a beautiful painting, or a face, it can inspire. When looking for a mate, i look for intelligence, and if that person is plain or even homely but really sharp upstairs, I start to notice physical traits that begin to become beautiful to me.

Well, let's say this comes to a lady and getting a ticket for speeding. If the lady is beautiful, she could probably cry her way out of the ticket. If the lady is intelligent, she probably wouldn't have been speeding in the first place. But towards what really matters to get you far in life, I say intelligence. A pretty face doesn't mean a pretty attitude.

Einstein said 'imagination'. I would say of the two choices offered, intelligence by far. If you are a total narcissistic mess and are obsessed by what other people are thinking, doing, etc., especially of you, then you are headed for a dilemma eventually because at what point are you pretty enough? And when beauty fades. what is left? Intelligence is the key to living a rewarding and purposeful life. Beauty is simply the container in which it is lived. Be a shame to live in a hollow container, no matter how pretty.

A beautiful woman of bad character can very easily make her beauty to hate and valueless. So also does the insanity. But intelligence can show even the non-beautiful face into beautiful and make others to like in all the ways. For example, if you watch certain Indian movies you will find how this psychology works.

Beauty is more important in today's world, but I feel intelligence is the most important thing a person can have. Your looks will eventually fade, but they can be fixed; intelligence is a different matter. It's like comedian Ron White said: You can't fix stupid.

I think that in todays world people think that beauty is the most important thing which can be true depeneding on what your job is or how pretty you really are. I think that it is really an opinion. Although i think that the right answer is brains is more important people really do focus more on beauty than they do on brains. Look at Jessica Simpson, she has some pretty stupid moments but people still read about her and look at her because she's pretty. There really is no correct answer

I told my mom the other day that if I could do it all over, I'd take that college tuition money and spend it on a dance instructor, new boobs, and voice lessons. I was only half joking.
Just looks aren't enough. Plenty of good looking but dumb as oxen people washing dishes in this world.
Just intelligence isn't enough either. There are also plenty of genius level thinkers washing dishes in this world.
Ambition and drive is what makes the difference. Without that, you never go anywhere in life.

From the looks of thing (pardon the pun), I'd say beauty. Overall, it doesn't appear that the smart girls are getting any love (translation from ebonics - aren't being appreciated for the fact that they're intelligent). Whereas a pretty face.... no personality needed, or skills, or anything. Even moreso if that pretty face comes along with a nice body.
