is the weight of circumstances fate? are circumstances given "weight" through the energy & attention we invest in details? And do we then call this reality of circumstance our fate? Do we realize that we have the power to create whatever we desire? Do we realize that all experience is the result of choices made, consciously or unconsciously? do we ever consider the idea that the energy we use to create weighty circumstances is the exact same energy that we use to create lightness of being? It's all energy, isn't it? It seems more a process of learning how to direct it in our lives to create the greatest harmony...or whatever we desire most intensely is what we get. It's a law of nature and life.

Fate is about choices, yes I believe we are all given a path, but it is not a straight path from A to B but one with many turns and forks in the road and predetermind, you choose your path and the circumstances of that choice is determind by fate. Circumstance/ choice, 2 sides of the same coin? Does it make it fate... or is circumstance that made you choose it in the first place? Were you predetermind to make that choice by fate?

Not at all...fate is defined as a person's destiny or what is preordained. Yes, there's a negative twist to the word, but I see fate as a positive thing, as a Purpose.

No, I don't think so. Fate is something that you don't have control of. You can decide to change your circumstances.

There is no "fate," Chairman.
We make our way through circumstances largely beyond our control, in a world not of our own creation, but we do make our way; it is not made for us.

interesting, im not sure that there is something that resembles what we think of as fate. a preordained future hust seems unattainable given the infinite amounts of probable events. so in a sense fate (looking back on it in hindsight) is a sum of those events.

Fate are the situations you are forced to decide.
Destiny is result of your choices.

If there is such a thing as fate -- which I doubt -- then, yes, it probably is.
