I suspect that dreams of wealth and fame are on a hierarchy of wants and needs in that if your basic needs are met , and I suspect that yours and the people who read this are, then there is the next step up of either wealth or fame or both.
In my personal night time dreams I dream of neither wealth or fame as best I can remember. In my day dreams I often think of accomplishing things not yet done , inventing things and such ( is that a form of fame?)
I suspect that many in Iraq or other such troubled spots on the planet like Sudan, dream of revenge.
Wealth and fame are probably on the tail end of what most (world wide) dream of.
Those who will read this are of a relative privileged few who are 'relatively' wealthy , safe and secure are more likely to dream of wealth and fame because their other needs have already been met.
There are a lot of other things to dream of besides wealth and fame.

Absolutely not !!! I would never want to be famous.

I think truthfully being rich, but not famous. I like my "simple" life. I wouldn't mind a few extra bucks to go along with it though. ~~~
