well the first thing that you do is to buy a new pair and wear them alot. wear them everyday that you can and wash them each night to prevent any unwanted smells. the washer will also help the mto get softer and more faded. wear them to places that have alot of rough objects that you can rub uo against or places that are dirty. then just give it enough time. however, you should never buy the pre-ripped jeans that some how are in style. this is a waste of money and takes all the fun out of it.

take a pair of jeans and wear them alot especially where you can break them in well. wash them alot to break the fibers down. you can also use a razor not to cut them but to shave off some of the fibers.

either wash em a lot or go to store that sells a lot of jeans and pick a pair up that look that.

you can make holes by leaving a spot of bleach on a spot. to make it worn out, you can use sand paper.

Do it yourself- use sandpaper, scrubber pads, chains, razor blade on seams and cuff...
wear several times before washing, don't wash inside out so color fades
take out any frustrations on them

take a normal pair of jeans- take a brick andrub the brick on the jeans.... i have tried this :)

bleach or rub sand paper against them. much cheaper than buying some at a store.
