I tried it but the sections didn't interest me and the chatters weren't very nice.

not any more. i looked around for a couple of weeks, by my age group, age groups just above or below mine, different subject areas, etc. 95% of what i was was like this:
hi mike how are u?
fine, u julie?
good *wink*
hi duke
hi annie
hi mike and duke!
hi jen!
then there are a ton of sluts and pervs breaking into ur messenger w/ " wanna chat private? see my slutty pics???" 'wanna cybersex w/ me?" "i'm so lonely and horny! talk to me" etc.
get the picture? i just sat and watched for someone to do more than greet each other.
"hey folks! it's CHAT!!! say something besides hi and bye!" i thought. when i said anything, it was pretty mich iggyed, so what's the point?

They usually are. And I think you have to pay now. So I stay out of those silly rooms. They are pretty lame.
