We are taking a ferry from Italy to Pireaus, Greece and want to take a train or bus to Athens. We are travelling with 2 small childeren.
If so, please show me links, if known and/or average prices.
Kids are 2 and 0.

Once you disembark, you can catch the metro from the port of Piraeus to the center of Athens. There is a train every 2-3 minutes, it takes approx. 20 mins and the ticket price for the three pax is 0,80€. Children under 4 do not pay a ticket, but parents should sit them on their lap if the train is full.
There are also buses from Piraeus going to various areas of Athens, so if you tell us where exactly you want to go, we can suggest you the proper bus or metro station.
You can try the English version of www.oasa.gr, but it is better to ask once you disembark.

From Piraeus to Athens you can go by the subway or by bus. There are several connections per hour. The price is 0,80 euros per person. Children pay half.
You may also consider taking a taxi. The taxies in Greece are cheap. From Piraeus to Athens would not cost more thatn euro 10 for all of you. Just be aware that some taxi drivers may ask for more

Of course there is a connection both with bus and train! the distance is very short (8km). I definately advice u to take the train it's right next to the port and it goes much faster. But that depends where exactly u are planning to go in Athens. there are many stations...

Of course. There is the tube that ends to Piraeus, and then there are buses. The price for the train is 70 cents and for the bus 45 cents I think.
