Do you guys know what happened to Dougie Poynter's dad?

Dougie doesn't talk much about himduring interviews...

I read something about him leaving Dougie, his mom and his sister some time ago...
And there was this interview with him...he said he still hasn't talked to his dad since two weeks before joining McFLY...
If you think of it...that's too long ago...
I'm not that sure if they have spoken to each other now though...
so just correct me if I am wrong...^_^

yep he is alive and well and does miss dugs
