If it isn't an attack by other nations (nuclear bombs), or poisoning the Eco and water systems, perhaps a meteor will hit earth causing it to become another unliveable planet. But only those around that the time will really know.

I was going to say an orgy until I read the last line. I think the world 'could' end by nuclear warfare, biological warfare, depletion of resources, asteroid impact. It could lose its orbit and go into the Sun. Who knows?
