I have a few inventions that I would like to submit to an invention company, and would like to know what company to submit them to.

I have worked with Advent, and I am not crazy about them, so, does anybody know of another company that can help me??

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

thank you!

As it unclear what type of inventions you wish to bring to market, my answer may not be suitable. If it involves any aspect of research and development, I would suggest you connect with the head of the respective specialization in a University. There are also Research Inititiatives and Foundations within the University that may be able to assist you in finding and making the appropriate connection.

Good luck.

Hello,

I work in this field and I've never heard of Advent, so I'll have to do some extra research of my own there.

If your located in Australia, most state government's provide some form of innovation or inventor assistance service. This is a great starting point and much of the initial assistance will be free.

There are quite a few fraudulent operators in Australia and I would advise against using the term "invention companies" or "invention promotion" in search engines to find help.

If you get stuck, contact IP Australia (Federal Government's Intellectual Property Agency) on 1300 65 1010, they will be able to refer you to a trusted adviser.

Best of luck.

PS: I've just worked out that you're not from Australia. The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) has a directory which you can access on their web site which may help you find a good adviser. I'm pretty sure they do background checks before linking to anybody so this may help.

Also, consider contacting the United States Patent Office (USPTO), if they're as good as our guys they should be able to refer you to a decent organisation to work with.

Check with the engineering department of a local university or college. They will have a list of local sources that may help you construct a prototype. You should also keep an Inventor Log, which records the development of your invention.
