I can honestly say I know because I've had all sorts of animals. Rabbits. Rabbits are the cleanest animals. A rabbit cleans itself thoroughly and daily. They may dig holes, but they clean their paws up really well. Every rabbit I've ever had LOVED water. So if they do get dirty you clean them I'd say against bathing them because they do such a great job. When rabbits seem to 'smell' its probably because they're in season, (yes they let out a scent when they're in season) either that or if they live in a cage you need to clean it. Not to mention rabbits can be as easily litter trained as can a cat. However you don't use kitty litter, it will lump up in their intestines and kill the poor thing. Use Kay Cob, its really cheap and smells nice.
I know you may see a lot of cats cleaning themselves, and you might think they're the cleanest animal, but they're not. I have two cats and I know if you let your cat outside they will roll in dirt, and they will try to hunt and eventually they will REEK. Then when bath day comes... good luck with that...

Pigs are infact one of the cleanest animals. They like to maintain separate eating sleeping and toilet areas. When given the room and freedom to decide, pigs choose to be clean and tidy.
The reason they roll in mud is because they dont sweat and they sunburn easily, they roll in mud or water and let the breeze cool them off, the mud acts like a sun screen keeping them from getting burned and it also helps keep the bugs off them aswell.
Infact...Pigs are extremely intelligent. They are thought to be the smartest of all domestic animals. Pigs have an I.Q higher than dogs and are considered by animal experts to be more trainable than dogs or cats.

I wouldn't say a pig, your parents probably wouldn't allow it. You have a couple choices. A cat is pretty clean, but they shed fur. Caged animals aren't the answer, you have to clean the cage a lot. I would say a small dog is the answer. Playful, Cute, and Cuddly. Be sure to get a small dog because bigger dogs drool alot and destroy things.

I have had cats, dogs, rats, bats, fish, frogs, gerbils, parrots, ferrets, raccoons, squirrels, a large snake, etc. Reptiles, fish and amphibians mess up your house the least (although the containers can be a pain to clean--once a fish tank reaches it's balance it is almost self maintaining if you vacuum it regularly though). Cats are very clean about their selves. Racoons wash their food (not for cleanliness alas!). Depends on what sort of clean you are looking for. Good luck!

If you're looking for a dog, my suggestion would be the Maltese. They are really cute and playful, but most of all, they don't shed! My friend's Maltese is an indoor dog and he's trained to go outside to go to the bathroom, so her house is very clean and free of doggie hair. :)

It depends on what you mean by clean, like they keep their cages clean and dont poop and make a mess everywere or germy clean. hampsters for germy clean and fish for keeping their environment clean(most of the time anyway). Dogs poop and pee everywhere, cats scratch and barf, rabbits poop A LLOOTT, birds are also preety clean it depends though. Most animals clean ness depends on how you train them.Hope I helped.

One that doesn't live in my house, that's for sure!
Rats are pretty clean as cage pets go. Cats are usually pretty clean, but not always.
