The movie, without a doubt. I never seemed to get the chance to read a lot at once. I tried to read the first book with my son, and we'd get maybe a half of a chapter a night! We obviously didn't get far, I think only 8 chapters. We sat together and watched to movie though and it was great!

The movie. Actually seeing the Hogworts school and the world of Harry Potter made it more magical. Some things are just too hard to describe. Although seeing the first film, after reading the first book made the books after that better.

The books ofcourse. The movies dont live up to rhe books. Books are always better than the movies. But in case of Lord of The Rings, I say that the movies are better than the books.

The BOOKS, by leaps and bounds. Rowling did an amazing job of putting together an entire, multi-layered world...to a point where everything seems to be completely logical.
The movies are still entertaining to watch but seemed to have lost their magic as every one is produced. You start to see the difference between an author's brainchild, one they want to see through until the dire end (entertaining an individual for days, months), and an industry where the main objective is to make $ (entertaining an individual for 3 hours).

Definitely the books because there are things the movies don't include.

The movies are good but the books are better.......so much depth and detail that you can't get in the movies.
