I eat there. Though I live on the East Coast. They wouldn't sell it if it was still bad.

Well I noticed that I am not alone by answering that even after the e coli threat had passed that I ate there and still got sick and so did several other people that I know.
If the restaurant is open then apparently it has been cleared by the health department and the w coli threat has been taken care of. But does that mean that it is safe to eat there? I don't agree.
However I don't think that it is just Taco Bell. Many if not all of the fast food chains do not practice safe food handling and guidelines set by the health department.
I say if you don't buy it and cook it yourself then there is no guarantee that it is safe. And even with food items that we buy we have no guarantee, like with the e coli scare in the bagged spinach salad mix, mad cow disease threats and so much more.
Nothing is safe anymore.

I've eaten at my midwest Taco Bell during and after the scare. I understand that they found the lettuce that was causing the problem. I'm as healthy as can be.

right now is the best time to eat at taco bell.
because they know all eyes are on them.
but i don't trust taco bell anymore.
i don't trust their track record.
about 10 years ago, i got so sick from the sour cream.
i didn't eat there again for 2-3 years...
...but i went back.
i don't order sour cream anymore.
and now i won't order green onions.

Maaaan. Go to your local grocery store, pick up an old el paso taco kit, ground beef and your choice of toppings. It is seriously SO much better and healthier, and you can be sure that you won't get sick. Besides it takes about 15 minutes to make and it doesn't make you throw up.

As safe as it ever was. My friend worked there for a while and was so grossed out by their practices that she will never touch their food again. So I'm wary. But E Coli wise, you're fine.

i would think that it is. I make a point to see if taco bell is ever crowed when I pass, usually it's not.
But now is probably the best time to eat there, you know how they say, the best time to get something is after an investigation. for instance, the best time to fly was probably after 9-11

Yes and it is good too. They get their produce from another company now that does not allow poop in their fields by the workers or the sewage treatment plant.

I won't...last time I ate there (I had a coupon for $5), I've got sick for 2 days...before that, I went to eat there, there was a girl worker who went to restroom, came out within 2 minutes, I bet she didn't wash her hands 'cause they were so busy...I didn't eat the food that I ordered; I didn't go back for 10 years.
