It has been a dream of mine forever to start a rock band, something with music like Godsmack, maybe Slipknot or even like Nickelback. I'm trying to learn the guitar, but I'd really want to be the singer. Does anyone know how to best go about starting a band like this?

2) Find people who want to play the same stuff, and that you can stand being with.
3) Practice some more.
4) Be prepared to fail, but determined to succeed.

put an ad in the musicians wanted section of a local entertainment paper looking for like minded players

Pratice singing with cd"s perfect teacher. Hang out with other musicans ask question. Volcal lessons if u can afford .
