Although I am a Tide Grad, I am from Big10 country and a Michigan fan. The Rose Bowl is not even over yet and I have to say that I think it may be time for a change at the helm. I like Lloyd Carr, he's a pretty solid recruiter, but he has not beaten Ohio State in I beleive 5 years, and cannot win at the end of the season. Think about it, he brings a bigger, stronger more physical team to the Rose Bowl and gets his jock handed to him by a finesse team. What do you guys think? Am I just angry or is there some merit to my thinking it may be time for a change? Help me out!

The problem is there have already been filled. Most big name coaches are out of the picture. The only real possibility would be to hire out of the pros or maybe promote Ron English.

If you were a big name coach and knew you were replacing a coach who has won the national championship (97) and taken his team to a BCS Bowl 4 out of the last 5 years and was fired, wouldn't you be nervous. I think if they fire Carr they will have a hard time replacing him. I would hate to see Michigan in the same situation as Alabama.

Lloyd Carr has done a tremendous job during his tenure at Michigan (I am a SC Gamecocks fan...) but I think he is hanging on as part of the Bo Schembechler era. He's an outstanding coach, but I'd like to see him go to a team that is rebuilding... Like Alabama, to prove his merit.

I too am a U-M fan, and wish they'd have hired away Central Michigan's Brian Kelly and dumped Lloyd Carr. I have had it with Carr and the big game.
