Perfect seems like a bit of a high benchmark, don't you think? You can always improve your mathematics skills, though. Pay attention in class, ask questions when you don't understand something, and practice! You can ask your teacher for more problems to practice on if you don't find enough in your textbook. Your teacher will be happy to help you improve your skills.

there is no such thing as Perfect, however, you can be very successful by practicing and always try to understand things, instead of just memorizing things..

I used to do hundreds of problems.

There's no one answer/solution to your problem! It all comes with experience and making it fun. I enjoy mathematics because it intrigued me for many years. However, there is one exact answer that I can give to your question: Be Careful!
