Odoban---it is a disinfectant and an odor eliminator. Many vets and grooming shops use it and we have lots of urine smells to worry about. Dilute it according to the instructions on the bottle and wipe out the bin. After it is dry, sprinkle baking soda at the bottom.

Rinse with white vinegar and a little dishsoap.

You can try to line the diaper can with the use of those scented 13 gallon trash bags that are sold in kmart or walmart's.
I used the vanilla scent! It made a rough job almost pleasant!

GOD bless.

You really need to spray all trash cans with a disinfectant each time you use them. That goes for diaper pails too.
Make sure to empty diaper filled bags every day and once a week, put it in the shower with bleach and hot water.Wash well.
You can try Odo ban for your everyday spray. It's an amazing product.

Bleach is best for getting rid of the bacteria that is causing the odor, but I don't always have time for that. You can use an enzyme cleaner in the meantime--I like Kids and Pets (buy at WalMart) which does wonders on rugs, mattresses and anything else that smells like pee after an accident.

Use some soapy water, dish or laundry soap and then vinegar to rinse. Vinegar neutralizes the acidic odor. I have a bottle of vinegar and water mix that I use all the time, great for keeping ants off the kitchen counters. and animals too.

Wash with detergent and bleach. Follow that with a day in the sunshine. Sunshine kills all kinds of odor and lots of bacteria as well. It's free and for once allows you to relax and do nothing for a bit.

Try spraying it with AtmosKlear. You can buy it at Ace Hardware, among other places. If it comes in contact with the source of the odor, then the odor will be gone! It works really well.

wash well with Javex and hot soapy water. You can fill the bin up with the Javex and hot soapy (detergent like Tide) water and leave it to soak overnight.

Good luck.
