It's just a bit too early. You should be able to hear it next time! Congratulations by the way!

I had an ultrasound on the same day (6 wks 6 days) and all they could see was a tiny round sac and they said it was to early for the heart to start beating. I went back a week later and the heart beat was there.
Now I'm 14 weeks pregnant and excited as ever!
I'll keep u in my prayers, I suffered 2 miscarriages and know the pain of a lost and also the anxiety that is built up in these very delecate weeks.
Also you wouldn't be hearing the heart beat. The heartbeat will be visable through the ultrasound as a little jumping bump.

With our little boy we did not hear the heartbeat til around 9 weeks. I lost a baby at ten weeks and they never found a heartbeat at that stage I would worry but I think you are just too early. Congratulations and the journey is amazing. I found it amazing to love something so small and have only know about for a week. It is amazing the instant love that you feel for something that you helped make and you make you life complete. I have a 8 month old son. We are so happy to have him!

If there was something to worry about they would be running all kinds of tests on her. Do not get worried until they say something. At that early in the pregnancy, it would be very hard to hear the heart beat. Even at the next appointment, if the baby is turned wrong or anything, you still may not be able to hear the heart beat. I can tell you that they saw it working fine on the ultrasound or they would have said something to you.

If there wasn't a heartbeat I'm sure that the OBGYN would have mentioned something. I don't think they would have remained silent if your baby wasn't ok. I'm not sure about the heart beat of such a young fetus, but keep in mind it takes at least 7-8 weeks for the fetus to be completely formed with all the organs and body parts (like the arms and legs). Hopefully your baby will be ok.

Yes, I would be a little concerned. There is no reason why they should not have been able to find the heartbeat unless she is not as far along as they say she is. At this point the heart is on the outside of the body, meaning it is not incased in inside a chest wall yet and it is very easy to see. Now you would not be able to hear it by doppler yet but at almost 7 weeks they should be able to see it beating.

So, being pregnant is measured via the 1st day of your final era. for this reason, we've those 2 weeks the place we're not extremely pregnant however the implantation/fertilization is going on in those 2 weeks, so technically it somewhat is roofed in being pregnant. So, in case you're gestationally at 6 weeks, the fetal progression is somewhat at 4 weeks.

Sometimes it would be too early to tell, between 6 and 8 weeks is when the heart develops and you should be able to hear the beats. Don't worry yet, she might not be as far along as the ultrasound predicted, plus she doesn't need to extra stress... Keep calm and be strong for the both of you.

I went for a ultra sound at 6 weeks and 11 weeks. Neither one they could find a heart beat. The dr said they usually find a baby's heart beat around 11-15 weeks.
Tell her that it is to early and not to worry.

That count seems low. I am almost 6 weeks now and my count taken on the 27th was 17,000. I am not sure that it was too early. It is usually between 5 and 6 weeks when you can see the heartbeat on the ultrasound.
BUT: I really really hope that isn't the case!
Here is some info:
