My mom just told me that they made it a holiday tomorrow in honor of President Ford, and the US postal service is closed. I havent heard anything about it. Will they not be delivering the mail?

No, I don't believe that they are open. I am pretty sure that all federal offices are closed and that includes the US Postal Service.

There will be no mail service tomorrow (Tues.. Jan 2, 2007). Many state and local governments will also be closed in honor of President Ford.

No mail service on Tuesday. But it's not a 'holiday.' It's a national day of mourning for Pres. Ford. Federal agencies are closed.

Mail will move on Sundays from city to city, but typically will not be delivered. Unless the sender purchased a tracking number for your package, you will not be able to locate it en route.
