moody, withdrawn, attention seeking, emotional, if its sexual and u have a gut feeling take the child to see a gp they can do tests look for bruising, soreness. better still ask the child. Drug abuse they also act moody, aggresive, withdrawn, there mood seems to go up and down there faces usually give it away substance abuse they suffer with runny noses check there sleeves to see if there is a substance on it they tend to sniff whatever substance they have from there sleeve...bulling they become angry, moody aggressive. the best advice to give is to ask the child, tell the child that you will help them with there situation its best to do it sooner rather then later....trust me

Child abuse: tired, angry, defiant, submissive, clingy, difficulty concentrating, poor academic/attendance record
Substance abuse: tired, withdrawn (from day to day activities), overtly private=wants to be left alone, lack of personal cleanliness, moody, change in friendships
Bullying: Quiet, withdrawn, sad, refusal to go to school (wants to stay home)
Hope this helps!

All of the above answers. Plus you might add - in young children( especially males) suffering from sexual abuse- an unwillingness to sit down.
