I understand you must be frantic worrying about your dad,but you must wait and see what the doctors have to say when he is seen in the USA ok.Don't allow your imagination to work over time just try to be patient until you find out for sure, it might not be that serious. Just be thankfull he is getting good help do your best to stay calm and help your mother ok.

Not a doctor but have heard of this before. He probably had a slight stroke, a ruptured blood vessel in the brain. Severe choking can cause a spike in blood pressure which must have caused it. He may or may not get his full eyesight back. But he certainly can take care of himself and get medical attention on his own. He may need treatment for high blood pressure, although I'd think that if he was healthy enough to be in the Armed Forces he wouldn't have high blood pressure. But he may already have it and be receiving treatment for it. Don't worry. He's a grown man. He'll be alright. He can easily find a doctor who can treat him.

You won't find a doctor on this website, nor is this the place to ask for medical assistance. Your dad can see a doctor in D.C. that can evaluate his case.

Believe it or not, there are occasionally drs on this site, but I haven't seen any tonight. You need to wait and let a dr see him. If his sight is coming back, that's good.
