Dell is generally rubbish anyhow, the best thing you could do is go to a PC shop, buy a basic tower, and then buy the upgrades and have them fit it for you.

No. You need at least 1gb of ram for windows xp gaming. The vid card is entry level, but you will be able to play most non shader intensive games ok. Also the sempron is a business oriented processor built for economics, so dont expect much out of it.

If you have to go with a pc in this price bracket get an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ or higher. The Radeon x1300 isnt worth a 130 tradeoff You should go for somethng more powerful and cheaper. Check ebay or pricegrabber.com for some solutions.

The X1300 pro is weak for gaming, and overpriced at $130. Check out Tom's Hardware for some recommendations (http://www.tomshardware.com/graphics/index.html).

Also, you'll probably want 1GB of dual channel memory. Adding another 512MB stick will take care of that.

That processor will work fine for most games, because most current games are single-threaded and don't take advantage of dual core. In the future you may want to upgrade it, which should be painless enough. Socket AM2 dual core processors will only continue to drop in price.
