Sure - but you will need to waste a blank CD to do it.

Create a playlist of your iTunes songs, and then create an audio CD of the songs. Then re-rip the created CD into MP3s - voila, files in MP3 format that will play in any MP3 player.

I'm not sure what you're asking.
You can put the songs you downloaded from itunes onto an mp3 player, but I can't specify how because you did not include what brand of mp3 player you have.
To get the mp3's after you downloaded them, open your "itunes" folder (I think generally it is placed in the My Music folder). Click "itunes music" and that's where all of your mp3's are stored.

iTunes protects all of their files because they want to completely monopolize the market...(and do a damn good job).

Some child prodigy figured out a way to get around it, but only if you're a really really advanced computer programmer could you try and copy what he did (though I think he's selling it to companies like WM and RP so it could be avalible eventually)...

Sorry that this is happening to you, I ended up just buying an iPod to avoid the hassel...
