I have tried to cancel my contract wih 3 without success. To cancel they were going to charge me for the remainder of the contract which was absolutely ridiculous, and as from the beginning of December 2006, they now charge £25 for every time a person changes the tariff on their phone. They are really strict with their ways of business. I, for one will be glad when my contract finishes, as I am getting away from them.

NO. I had a 3 mobile contract and I tried to cancel before my time. They wanted to charge me the full 12 months contract fee. So I had to wait for the contract to run out.

If you try to cancel the contract you will have to buy it out... meaning large cancelation fees apply. Your best bet would be to pay the money for a phone or ask if you can renew your contract to get a good price.

Buy a new phone through Ebay. it is the most economic way. You may cancel your contract but they will charge you some insane amount of money.. The only way to get out of a contract is if you are deployed to Iraq.. Sorry!!

What you need to do is downgrade your tariff, then wait till the next billdate. then Ask them what the difference is, then you will have to pay the difference. Also ask them to put a block on the simcard and the phone.

You can but you probably have to pay a fee and might end up being cheaper to buy a phone.

there's no way, the exact same thing happened to my mum,(well not the stollen bit, her's dropped down the stairs)you still have to pay.
but the best thing to do is ring them up,and say you want a cheaper price plan,so they give u the lowest price. then jus a get a new one out
