I loved dolls. I used to break ice cream sticks at different lengths and give them a name. I would play where the tree roots were showing. This way I could use my imagination to create a family and rooms of the house with the roots. Sounds silly now but it kept me busy for hours. I guess it is no worse than video games for hours.

Taking all of the blankets my brothers and I could find and building a fort. There was nothing like it and oddly enough, I never felt as safe.

Ugly Bunny!
I called it ugly bunny cause..... well..... it was a bunny and it was soooooooo ugly. But I loved it cause I made it. It was a sock that was stuffed. Then felt ears and a nose and whiskers were sewn on it. It was so floppy and smooshy and I remember loving taking that ugly ole sock with me everywhere I went. Ugly bunny became so real to me. And I saved him........ all these years. I so hoped my kids would take to him when they were young........but no. *sigh* I guess he was just too old and....... ugly. lol

My mom used to make homemade play-dough for us and she even put sparkles and food colouring in it. I really enjoyed using cookie cutters to make fake cookies and fake burgers with it.

My dad nailed together 3 pieces of wood to make this toy airplane, and painted it red. I played with that thing for years, perfect for holding in your hand and swooshing it through the air and making airplane noises.
