it makes me laugh as 2 why they get offended at everything. i mean the recent song by "the killers" had a line in it "he doesn,t look a thing like jesus" & were the christians offended? i think not. seems like they have nothing else to moan about so thay think up excuses about religion whereas in fact its just a cover for them to get even more liberties taken away from the free.

I actually think I understand your question. So my tuppence and a shilling:
First, a lot of people in the Western world think all Muslims are wicked. I have designed a diversity course as a part of a nice little tuition compensation in the past, long before the issues of today.
I fully believe that MOST Muslims are being treated unfairly due to the actions of a relatively tiny minority who will do harm to anyone, including Muslims not in agreement with their extreme views.
Let us remember, MOST of the Muslims (say in the UK, America, France, Germany, other places) are under as much threat as anyone else in those countries.
Thus, people like Anglicans, Catholics and other non muslims are in the same boat and are the same targets to the radicals as are Muslims, Jews, and other groups that are NOT a part of the radical core.
When lumped with international criminals, is has to be offensive to the vast majority of Muslims that appreciate the freedoms mentioned in the above named countries.

Muslims dont mind questions as long as its not offensive. When I mean offensive like bad language being used and stuff. I slam asks muslims to respect and treat those how you want to be treated.
But the thing is, there are so many types of muslims. we have to be careful. shiites claim to be muslims, however they harm their bodies with weaons and knives ect. this harming your body and others is not allowed.
Shiites believe in sucde and sunnis dont. the media has alot blame and twisted alot of these things.
Suicide is NOT allowed and forbidden. it is not martyrdom.
poeple read things in newspapers and belive what they want to belve which is usually that "all muslims are suicide bombers" when in fact we aren't.
Islam is about peace and even asks us to respect those who are non muslim. respect thier beliefs. but these days people want to make thier own rules and beliefs.

there is nothing wrong with asking questions about our faith. this way you will also understand some of our ways f living etc. and plus the other thing is alot of muslims are beginning to think they are being "targeted" (if you know what i mean) especially by the media. everytime they hear islam this muslims that, the abuse they get from the streets, and so on makes them uneasy.

they are tired of hearing 1 thing on tv, radio, newpapers and it always one topic "islam and muslims"

even some non muslims are fed up with this and cant stand listening or reading about it all the time.

I dont mind answering questions, but if they are offensive I tend to get upset too and dont bother answering them too.

I hope this helps

Their religion doesn't allow questioning or free thinking either you think and do as they do or you are an infidel and the punishment is death.

By the way bomed is spelled bombed.

Is Ireland a western country? I don't think people in England were that pleased when the Irish planted bombs in London. Are all Catholics part of the IRA? Did americans fund them? hmm...yes they did. Terrorism didn't start the day 9/11 happened....I think Iraqi's get a bit miffed when we drop bombs on them too.

I think what your saying is unfair. I have met many nice Muslims who don't support al-qaida, who aren't terrorists, who love americans and the american dream.

You have to understand that al-qaida and the taliban are fanatics. They are the same as the Christian fanatics who bomb abortion clinics. They are the same fanatics like the KKK, stormfront and Nation of Islam.

Don't dirty up muslims because a few rugrats messed it up for them

THINK OF AL-QAIDA LIKE THIS: THEY ARE THE KKK FOR MUSLIMS. CRAZY PEOPLE!

DO you support the KKK/ I don't think the Muslims support Al-qaida either.

P.S. I'm 17 years old!

From what I can see and read, there is a large group of Muslims (NOT ALL) who seem to be offended by everything anyone does if it doesn't agree with the things they believe in. Apparently, everything is black and white for them, and they spend their time judging others. No wonder we're in the mess we're in.

actually most muslims dont agree with the bombings either. theyre americans too and im sure there were some muslims in the WTC that died. thats like saying that all black people dont find drive by's offensive or that all asians dont find SARS attacks offensive.

its not that Muslims are offended by questions its that the general view of many people (including yourself) is that all Muslims agree to the bombing

Islam is a religion of peace but unfortunately some people are exploiting this and brainwashing youngsters into believing that they are doing Gods will

if you did a poll to find out how many Muslims have been hurt directly or even indirectly by world/local bombings you would see that at least 98% will express their sorrow and pain

Good question.

Also, why do muslims come to a secular Christian country and then complain that we don't have sharia law?

If they want sharia law, they should go back to Afghanistan or wherever they originally came from. You can't have sharia law and running water side by side.
