1. Wicca and Voodoo are two different religions.
2. If, by Wiccan, you means witches, you need to get the facts straight. Not all Wiccans are witches and not all Witches are Wiccan. (I've seen that mistake way too many times...)
3. Wicca is a very respectable religion. It's quite new, but it is based off of much older Pagan religious beliefs.
4. Preschoolers generally follow the same religion as their parents. Wicca is generally something that people are more likely to grown into.

I promised myself I wouldn't feed the trolls, yet here I am doing it. Well, I'll hate myself later.

First of all, unless you are a strict atheist, you too have faith in a god/goddess/religion that other people consider childish or ridiculous. It's worth remembering that. Even if you don't have a religion, you still probably have faith in a country, a political party, or a person - you have faith in something that someone else would consider naive and pitiful. Therefore, you should not mock people simply for holding a belief you do not agree with.

Second of all, most Wiccans join the religion in their late teens and early twenties. Very few preschoolers are Wiccans - not even many high schoolers are. Wiccans, as a demographic group, are composed almost entirely of people who CHOSE, as adults, to convert TO Wicca FROM something else. Please contrast this with the three majors (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) which are composed almost entirely of "born and raised" believers - people who were taught their religon by their parents and never changed.

Given that information, it is clear that Wicca is not something to "grow out of" but rather something that is grown into. I think it is far more admirable and adult to chose a religion than to stay with one that mommy and daddy decreed was the right one - which is where I suspect you fall on the continuum of beliefs.

I am guessing that "these wiccan people" are the fluff bunny teens that you are the same age as you (or at least the same mental level) who are playing. Yes, most often for the shock value. I suggest that you do a little research and you will find that people who practice the craft have been around for a lot longer than just about any other religion. You will also find out that voodoo is something completely different and incorporates Christianity! So I suggest you get your head out of the clouds and JOIN US!

Hee... you must have an interesting definition of reality, if you see both Wicca and Voodoo as not being part of it. Even without the magic element (which I suspect is what you're questioning), both are valid and *legal* religions.

Everyone else already answered beautifully. Me, I'm having a fun time picturing a pre-schooler who's into Voodoo. "What an interesting doll you brought, Timmy. Why is he wearing a top hat?"

Yeah... I'll suffer later from feeding the trolls, too :-)

I think you meant to say Christians. Right? I mean they are the real ones with their heads up their ***. Let look at the facts, Pagan religions are older than ANY, I repeat ANY of the Neo-Christian religions. They are more based in harmony than ANY of the Neo-Christian religions, and that cause less death and destruction than ANY of the Neo-Christian religions. So yes I guess they are sooooooo backwards because they are better than you. Oh and Voodoo is a derivative of Christianity not Wicca. Do some research buddy. Blessed Be.

Wicca and voodoo are two completely different religions. Voodoo originated in Africa and has to do with worshipping certain deities. Wiccans are more about the earth and worshipping it. So before you start criticizing any religion maybe you should learn more about it and how it differs from other religions.

The wiccan religion and culture existed a thousand years before christianity and catholicism, were ever practiced.Prejudice is a sign of an ignorant mind. What does youth have to do with it?

Ignorance shows not only in your acts, but your spelling. voodoo is actually a slight mix of traditional African beliefsand Catholicism. Wiccans to my knowledge worship a female deity (If I am wrong please correct me). Besides Christians are the ones who are so far Flung, you hypocrites. You as a people preach about being pure, not lying etc. Look at the crusades. a war, and if memory serves Murder is a sin. Uh-huh......

Why are so many people on this site looking to start a fight in the first day of the New Year??? Good thing we're the nice people!

Wiccan is for real adults who make a serious choice of how they want to live their lives. Careful, one of them may be the only one around to help you someday when you need it most. That karma will getcha every time....

Wicca may be a "new " religon , but its beifes and ideals are older than christainity ... can you honestly tell me that there was more than one god before christ... what about the greek and their mythologies... I think that wiccans are way more open minded and aware of the worlds around them and cause and consiquence... it is a religon that works with the balance of nature and all things living and "dead"... People can belive whatever they want as long as it gives them hope for the future
