can you explain i, in mathematical terms, i=imaginary number, but i need more about it such as how to solve for it

By definition i is the square root of -1.

an imaginary number is 1. it is like the 2 squared 2^1 but you never write the one because you know it is there.

simple example, if you notice that

(x + i) * ( x - i) = 0
x^2 + ix - ix - i^2 = 0
x^2 - i^2 = 0
x^2 - (-1) = 0
x^2 + 1 = 0

so ... reverse the order of steps to solve
x^2 + 1 = 0

x = i .... or
x = -i

are the solutions.
