It would be fun for him to make another appearance. But he'll notice that the Doctor has regenerated and Rose is gone.

Yes love, it was announce when Christopher Eccleston was the Doctor that Captain Jack would not be in the 2nd Series (first series with the scottish bloke) but would be in the 3rd. Probably end up in some of the 3rd series of the Doctor and the 2nd series of Torchwood?

I thought John Barrowman was really good as captin Jack Harkness in series one and I would love him to return in series 3 but i think he hopefully wil be coming back in a few eposodes.I didn't really like the torchwood series but i think now everything in doctor who is to do with torchwood.

He's in at least 1 story of the new series of DW3 but only as a guest star. He's still to come back in Torchwood #2.there won't be any crossover of the 2 shows.

It has been said that there will be no crossovers between the teo programs, but after tonight, who knows, that has to be the biggest crossover yet.
It would not surprise me if Captain Jack (or whatever his real name is) does appear in Dr Who
