It would depend on the area since cost of living varies. If the landlord charges $500 a month, it would be $6,000 a year, minus cost of repairs and what is included with the rent (free water or electricity for the renters).

That really depends on the landlord. How were the properties bought, how many properties, how long ago, what kind of property, where are they, etc.

There is no "average" except in math.

Are you talking gross or net.

If you are talking net, then most properties, and thusly most landlords, operate in the the negative or possibly break even on an annual basis.

dpends on the actual profit rec'd after expenses paid out, ei motgage, taxers, insurance and repairs. probably more if they own a bunch of apartments
